Preview: Queens Park Rangers vs. Wigan Athletic

Sports Mole gazes ahead to Tuesday night's Championship game between two sides currently in the playoffs, Queens Park Rangers and Wigan Athletic.

It's fourth against fifth at Loftus Road on Tuesday night in the Championship as Queens Park Rangers take on Wigan Athletic.

Both sides, who were relegated from the Premier League last season and are looking for an instant return to the top flight, can strengthen their position in the playoffs with victory.

Although four points behind their opponents, Wigan are the form team in the Championship at the moment, having picked up 22 points from a possible 24 in their last eight games.

They have surged into the top six and Uwe Rosler could make a number of changes to the side that beat Watford on Saturday given the depth of his squad.

QPR stole the points in the dying seconds at Middlesbrough on Saturday and Harry Redknapp could also shake up his side for tomorrow's game.

Veteran defender Richard Dunne is set to return from suspension in defence while Danny Simpson is also eyeing a return to the starting lineup after a prolonged spell injured.

The last three meetings between these two have finished as draws, with the reverse back in October ending goalless.
