Wright-Phillips in trouble over explicit tweet

Shaun Wright-Phillips has been given a warning by the FA after re-tweeting an offensive message on Twitter.

Wright-Phillips apologised to the FA after they wrote to him demanding an explanation for the tweet.

It is understood that the message in question referred to Wolves player Karl Henry, who had recently clashed with Wright-Phillips’ QPR teammate Joey Barton.

The winger was warned by the FA that a repeat of the incident would result a misconduct charge.
