Harry Redknapp slams Queens Park Rangers exit rumours as "absolute rubbish"

Redknapp slams rumours of QPR exit

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has claimed that his position at Loftus Road is not in doubt, insisting that exit rumours are "absolute rubbish".

Earlier this week, it was reported that the club are considering sacking the former Tottenham Hotspur manager due to a run of poor results.

It was rumoured that recently-dismissed Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup was being lined up as a possible replacement should QPR part ways with Redknapp.

However, the 66-year-old has insisted that there are no concerns over his future. The club's official Twitter page quotes Redknapp as saying: "Speculation regarding my future this week is absolute rubbish. We're currently fourth in the table. It hasn't bothered me."

QPR are currently seven points adrift of automatic promotion to the Premier League.
