Queens Park Rangers confirm Sandro visa problem

Queens Park Rangers confirm that Sandro will not be able to feature in their game at Manchester City because of an issue with his UK residency visa.

Premier League strugglers Queens Park Rangers have confirmed that there is an "issue" with the UK residency visa of their Brazilian midfielder Sandro.

A report in the Sunday Mirror today revealed the problem and QPR have acted quickly to confirm the news.

A statement on the club website read."The club can confirm it was informed by the Home Office on Thursday, May 7 that there is an issue with Sandro's UK residency visa.

"The club are working with Sandro and the Home Office to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. While this is ongoing, the club have been advised not to select Sandro for match involvement."

It means that Sandro will not be able to feature in this afternoon's match against Manchester City, which QPR must win if they are to stave off relegation.
