Queens Park Rangers striker Andy Johnson to miss most of season with injury

Johnson out for majority of campaign

Queens Park Rangers striker Andy Johnson is suffering from cruciate ligament damage, it has been confirmed.

The Premier League outfit have announced that the 31-year-old forward, who moved to Loftus Road from Fulham in the summer, will be sidelined for the majority of the season.

The former Everton forward picked up the injury during QPR's goalless draw with Chelsea on Saturday and was forced to leave the field and seek treatment.

Johnson has made four appearances in manager Mark Hughes's side since joining from Craven Cottage.
