QPR captain Joey Barton is frustrated by Samba Diakite's red card during Saturday's 1-0 defeat at home to Fulham.

Queens Park Rangers captain Joey Barton has expressed his frustration at Samba Diakite's red card during Saturday's 1-0 defeat at home to Fulham.

The Rangers debutant was dismissed in the first half by referee Phil Dowd for his second bookable offence.

Djibril Cisse was similarly sent off on his home debut for the club earlier this month.

"No matter what, playing with 10 men for 60-odd mins every home game is very difficult," Barton tweeted. "Really frustrating. All need to stick together."

The defeat has left the R's 17th in the Premier League table.
