Half-Time Report: Robert Green keeps Queens Park Rangers level with Swansea City

Robert Green makes a series of saves in the first half to keep Queens Park Rangers on level terms with Swansea City.

Robert Green had to make a string of saves in the first half to ensure that Queens Park Rangers reached half time goalless with Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium this evening.

The hosts could have been ahead inside the opening five minutes when Wilfried Bony created some space before trying to set up Wayne Routledge, but Green was ready to make the save.

Green had to remain alert as Kyle Bartley made a run for Swansea shortly after, attempting to head in from a Gylfi Sigurdsson corner, but the keeper was there to tip it behind.

Green almost gifted Garry Monk's side the lead with just over half an hour played as Sigurdsson struck a free kick from 20 yards out, which was deflected twice to wrong-foot the keeper, but it just missed the post.

The QPR keeper continued to come under pressure as half time approached, with Sigurdsson lining up another free kick, but this time the keeper did get a hand to it, before Richard Dunne made the clearance.

QPR's best chance of the half came late on as Leroy Fer tried to fire the ball in after a quick break from the visitors, but Lukasz Fabianski was ready to make the stop.
