Manchester United told to pay £25m for Kevin Strootman

PSV Eindhoven have reportedly told Manchester United that Kevin Strootman is available for £25 million.

The Dutch international is a target for Sir Alex Ferguson but the Eredivisie side have slapped a hefty price tag on the former Utercht man, according the The Mirror.

United believed that they could land the midfielder for around £15m, but have since been told by PSV they must significantly improve any offer they make.

The 22-year-old signed a five-year contract at the Philips Stadion last year.
