Agent: 'Gregory van der Wiel in Paris Saint-Germain talks'

The agent of Paris Saint-Germain defender Gregory van der Wiel is "optimistic" that his client will sign a new deal with the French club.

The 27-year-old joined PSG from Ajax in 2012 and is closing on 100 appearances for the Ligue 1 side.

Van der Wiel's current deal expires in 2016, but Mino Raiola is confident that the Dutchman will extend his contract in Paris.

"It's taking time to reach an agreement, but I'm optimistic," Raiola told Le Parisien.

The full-back has made 41 appearances for the Netherlands.
