Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic defends his wages at the French club.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has insisted that he 'does not understand' why his salary has attracted such interest.

The 30-year-old, who joined the French club from AC Milan in the summer, is understood to pick up a wage in the region of £12m a year.

"Quality is not free. I don't understand all the criticism. After all, the more money I earn, the more tax France receives," he told Eurosport.

The Swede has scored five goals in four games for the club this season.
