Stuart Beavon happy at Preston North End

Stuart Beavon has dismissed reports that he is looking to leave Preston North End during the current transfer window.

There have been claims that the striker has been homesick since making the move to Deepdale last August.

The 29-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I have heard rumours that I am homesick and looking to leave, but that is not true.

"I am loving it at Preston and I am really looking forward to the new season. I am excited at the prospect of playing alongside Kevin Davies and I can't wait to get started."

Beavon scored six goals for the League One side last season.
