Portugal defender Pepe misses training with thigh problem

Portugal defender Pepe misses training with a thigh problem ahead of this week's Euro 2016 semi-final against Wales.

Portugal defender Pepe has caused some injury concern after missing Monday's training session ahead of his nation's semi-final against Wales at Euro 2016.

According to The AP, the Real Madrid player was absent because of a thigh problem.

Pepe, who has started all five of Portugal's matches in the tournament, has two days to shake off the injury in order to feature in Wednesday's semi-final showdown.

Fernando Santos's side reached the final four after beating Poland 5-4 in a penalty shootout.

Wales secured their place in the showdown with a 3-1 win over Belgium.
