Portsmouth battle to keep Wallace

Portsmouth are reportedly bracing themselves for a host of bids for talented midfielder Jed Wallace.

The 18-year-old, who joined the club from Lewes in 2011, impressed during a loan spell at Whitehawk earlier in the season.

He has since scored two goals in seven first-team appearances for Portsmouth, prompting interest from a number of Premier League clubs in January.

A spokesman for the club told Sky Sports News: "There was some interest in Jed before the transfer window closed but we won't reveal who that was from."

The League One outfit managed to stave off interest last month, but it is understood that the teenager will be the subject of a number of bids at the end of the season.
