Former Millwall defender Paul Robinson joins Portsmouth

Portsmouth have completed the signing of centre-back Paul Robinson.

The 33-year-old was made a free agent yesterday afternoon when his contract with Championship side Millwall was cancelled.

However, he has made a swift return to the game by signing an 18-month deal at Fratton Park.

"He had offers from other clubs and I am delighted he has chosen us," manager Andy Awford told BBC Radio Solent.

Robinson spent the first half of the current campaign on loan with Pompey, during which he made 25 appearances.
