Guy Whittingham admits that Portsmouth were not at their best against Bury, but says his team have played better this season and not won.

Portsmouth manager Guy Whittingham has admitted that he enjoyed his side's 1-0 win against Bury on Saturday, although he conceded that his players weren't at their best.

An early header from Bondz N'Gala settled the match but apart from a Jed Wallace shot that hit the post, Pompey struggled to break down their opponents.

"I am enjoying it because it's a win, that's the important thing," he is quoted as saying by the Portsmouth News.

"Sometimes you deserve them, sometimes you don't. There have been games this season we have played better than that and not won."

The result was Pompey's third win at home this season in League Two.
