An Andriy Yarmolenko penalty has given Dynamo Kiev a 1-0 lead at Porto in their Champions League clash this evening.

Porto dominated for much of the first half, as Danilo Pereira missed the target early on, before the midfielder forced a save from Oleksander Shovkovskiy at a Miguel Layun corner inside 10 minutes.

The visitors grew into the game as the half went on, with Felipe Moraes dragging an effort narrowly wide following some good work by Derlis Gonzalez, while Iker Casillas was required to keep the scores level on 25 minutes, denying Gonzalez from outside the box.

Kiev took control of the match from the half-hour mark, and saw a Denys Garmash header strike the woodwork, before Moraes missed the target from close range.

The hosts gave a penalty away on 34 minutes when Gianelli Imbula brought down Serhiy Rybalka in the penalty area. Yarmolenko took the spot kick, and fired past Casillas.

Teenage midfielder Ruben Neves came close to an equaliser before half time, as Christian Tello found the stand-in skipper inside the box, but the Portuguese's effort was saved by Shovkovskiy.
