Portland 1-1 Vancouver

A late goal from Darren Mattocks has salvaged a 1-1 draw for the Vancouver Whitecaps at Portland Timbers.

Kris Boyd had put the hosts ahead in the 67th minute after Jorge Peerlaza had found him with space inside the box.

Mattocks equalised with six minutes left on the clock after latching onto Eric Hassli's knock down from a long ball into the area.

The result means that Vancouver are now fifth, while Portland remain in seventh.
