Port Vale sign Kacper Lopata on loan from Barnsley

Port Vale FC are delighted to announce the loan signing of central defender, Kacper Lopata, from Barnsley.

The loan deal will see the 22-year-old Polish U21s international remain at Vale Park for the remainder of the Sky Bet League One season.#PVFC | #UTV

"Kacper is a commanding unit of a defender who comes in to immediately bolster our options within that department," said manager Andy Crosby.

"He has a determination to come in and really make the most of the opportunity that he has been presented with here at Port Vale. He already has a number of appearances at this level under his belt and has an understanding of the physical demands of League One football.

"We all look forward to working closely with Kacper to further continue his development both on and off the pitch between now and the end of the season."

Director of Football David Flitcroft added: "Kacper comes into the squad to compliment our defensive unit. He is a player who is fully committed to defending and I'm sure he will be appreciated by the Port Vale supporters.

"We feel that we can take advantage of Kacper already having League One experience and we have recruited him from a really good environment at Barnsley.
