Team News: Achille Campion on bench for Port Vale

Port Vale include new signing Achille Campion on the bench for their League One clash with Gillingham.

Port Vale have included new signing Achille Campion on the bench for their League One clash with struggling Gillingham.

The Frenchman has received international clearance to play for the Staffordshire club, but manager Rob Page has opted to leave him out. Fellow French attacker Dany N'Guessan does start at Vale Park.

Tom Pope remains sidelined with a knee ligament injury.

The Gills, who have Andy Hessenthaler back in temporary charge following the sacking of Peter Taylor, has captain Doug Loft and midfielder Bradley Dack in the starting lineup after the pair sat out the 3-1 defeat at Bristol City through injury.

Defender Matt Fish is not included in the matchday squad despite returning from a loan stint at League Two Portsmouth.
