Team News: Renato Sanches starts for Portugal, Poland unchanged

Bayern Munich teenager Renato Sanches starts for Portugal in their Euro 2016 quarter-final against Poland at the Stade Velodrome.

Bayern Munich teenager Renato Sanches has been handed a start for Portugal in their Euro 2016 quarter-final against Poland at the Stade Velodrome this evening.

The central midfielder, who moved to the German champions from Benfica this summer, is given a role in central midfield due to an injury to Andre Gomes, who had started all of Portugal's games in France.

Cedric Soares and Jose Fonte keep their places at the back, while Adrien Silva is once again preferred to Joao Moutinho in the middle of the park. Raphael Guerreiro also misses out with an injury, allowing Eliseu to come into the team at left-back.

As for Poland, head coach Adam Nawalka has selected the same team that started their penalty-shootout victory over Switzerland in the round of 16.

Robert Lewandowski is still looking for his first goal in this summer's competition, but his strike partner Arkadiusz Milik is off the mark.

No alterations also means that Swansea City's Lukasz Fabianski keeps out Arsenal's Wojciech Szczesny between the sticks.

Poland: Fabianski; Piszczek, Glik, Pazdan, Jedrzejczyk; Blaszczykowski, Krychowiak; Maczynski, Grosicki, Milik; Lewandowski
Subs: Szczesny, Boruc, Cionek, Wawrzyniak, Salamon, Jodlowiec, Linetty,, Peszko, Zielinski, Kapustka, Starzynski, Stepinski

Portugal: Patricio, Cedric, Pepe, Fonte, Eliseu; Adrien, William, Renato; Mario, Ronaldo, Nani
Subs: Lopes, Eduardo, Alves, Guerreiro, R.Carvalho, Moutinho, Vieirinha, Danilo, Gomes, R.Silva, Eder, Quaresma
