Peru come into Monday's Copa America clash with Colombia on the back of a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Brazil, giving manager Ricardo Gareca several decisions to make.
He opted to leave experienced forwards Raul Ruidiaz and all-time top scorer Paolo Guerrero out of the Copa America squad, prioritising bringing through a new crop of players.
In their absence, Peru looked worryingly timid in the opening game, with Gianluca Lapadula leading the line.
They will rely heavily on the experience of winger Christian Cueva, who has scored 11 goals for his country in 73 international appearances.
FC Emmen midfielder Sergio Pena could be a bright spark in the attack, operating in the hole behind Lapadula.
Behind the front four, Yoshimar Yotun should earn his 100th cap on Monday, shielding the back line.
Despite conceding four goals to Brazil last time out, Gareca may opt to stick with the same back four on this occasion, with Marcos Lopez, Christian Ramos, Luis Abram and Aldo Corzo lining up in front of Orlando City goalkeeper Pedro Gallese.
Peru possible starting lineup: Gallese; Corzo, Abram, Ramos, Lopez; Yotun, Tapia; Carrillo, Pena, Cueva; Lapadula
