Peru coach predicts Chile upset

Ricardo Gareca says that his Peru side have enough firepower to shoot down host nation Chile in their forthcoming Copa America semi-final.

Peru coach Ricardo Gareca has warned Chile that he has the "weapons" at his disposal to shoot down the Copa America favourites on home soil in the upcoming semi-final.

Paolo Guerrero netted a hat-trick as Gareca's side beat Bolivia 3-1 in Temuco this morning to set up a last-four clash with the host nation - who beat Uruguay 1-0 - on Monday.

"The enthusiasm of the players is ideal and Thursday we went out aggressively to find the first goal," he told reporters.

"We've got the weapons to be a competitive national team but I believe that, every match we have, we keep getting better.

"We should play the best match possible in every match to satisfy the people who always support us."

Argentina take on Colombia tonight in the third quarter-final, with the winner of that contest facing Brazil or Paraguay, who play tomorrow.
