Palermo 1-1 Cagliari

Palermo continue to seek their first Serie A win of the season after they were held to a 1-1 home draw by Cagliari.

Palermo are still searching for their first win of the Serie A season after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Cagliari at home on Saturday.

The first chance of the match fell to Thiago Ribeiro in the 17th minute, but his shot was saved by Samir Ujkani.

Minutes later Palermo talisman Fabio Miccoli forced Michael Agazzi into making a brilliant save in the Cagliari goal.

The Sicilian hosts breached Cagliari's defence five minutes before the half-time interval when Miccoli played a ball to Arevalo Rios, who shot home from just inside the penalty area.

The second half saw both sides cancelling out each other like they did for much of the first half.

Miccoli's free kick in the 77th minute saw Agazzi make yet another fine save, and then five minutes later Massimo Donati had his goal disallowed for offside.

Cagliari made it 1-1 in the 88th minute when Marco Sau nodded in from just yards out from a rebound.
