Freedman has no plans to sell Antonio

Nottingham Forest manager Dougie Freedman has insisted that the club have no intention of selling winger Michail Antonio.

West Bromwich Albion are said to be keen on the 25-year-old and have reportedly made a fresh approach.

Freedman has confirmed that he has not spoken to West Brom head coach Tony Pulis regarding Antonio.

"I have not had any conversations personally, with Tony Pulis," Freedman told the Nottingham Post.

"But even if a bid were to come in, why would we want to sell one of the brightest talents outside of the Premier League, for any kind of money?

"In the situation we are in, we are not in a position to spend any of the money we make by selling him, so it would make no sense to do so."

Antonio scored 14 goals in 46 Championship appearances for Forest last season.
