Daniel Ayala joins Nottingham Forest on loan

Norwich City centre-back Daniel Ayala has joined Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan deal.

The former Liverpool defender is the club's sixth signing of the summer transfer window and chairman Omar Al Hasawi has expressed his delight at the capture.

"It is pleasing to have signed a player with such a wonderful pedigree," Al Hasawi told the club's official website.

"He's only 21 but has experienced life in the Premier League, as well as in the Championship, and adds to the defensive resources at Sean O'Driscoll's disposal."

Ayala played five times for Liverpool during his time at the club.
