Report: Championship clubs eye Norwich City's Steven Whittaker

A number of unnamed Championship clubs have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Norwich City's Steven Whittaker.

The Scot started the season as manager Alex Neil's first-choice right-back at Carrow Road, but he has not featured for the club since October.

Whittaker has also recently seen himself pushed further down the pecking order following the arrival of Ivo Pinto.

As a result, a host of sides in England's second tier have made contact with the Canaries regarding the defender's availability, according to HITC Sport.

The 31-year-old joined Norwich from Rangers in 2012.
