Danny Mills: 'Sacking Chris Hughton not the answer for Norwich City'

Danny Mills believes that sacking manager Chris Hughton may not be the right move for Norwich City, who are hoping to avoid relegation.

Former Norwich City player Danny Mills believes that the club could be making the wrong decision if they decide to sack manager Chris Hughton.

Norwich chief executive David McNally recently revealed that they are keeping their options open should Hughton no longer be at the club.

However, Mills believes that making a change this late in the season will not automatically save them from Premier League relegation.

"Fulham have changed their manager twice and that hasn't worked," Mills told talkSPORT. "Cardiff have got rid of Malky Mackay and they're still second from bottom.

"Sunderland have appointed Gus Poyet, they've done a little better but are still in the bottom three. West Brom changed their manager but they're fourth from bottom.

"Crystal Palace are one place above Norwich. They've all done a little better but it's not like these managers have taken them to mid-table like West Ham have done with Sam Allardyce. Changing your manager is okay but it only gives you a spark for five or six games."

The Canaries are currently one point above the drop zone in the table.
