Preview: Norwich City vs. Huddersfield Town

Norwich vs. Huddersfield

Norwich City will be looking to win back-to-back matches for the first time since September when they host Huddersfield Town at Carrow Road this weekend.

The Canaries stopped the rot against Wigan Athletic last time out, ending a four-match winless streak with a 1-0 victory over the struggling Latics at the DW Stadium.

Just two wins in their last 11 games is still not good enough for a side many expected to push for automatic promotion this season, but their strong start to the campaign means that they are still fairly well placed for a playoff push.

They are just two points off the top six now and could end the week back in the playoff places should they win and other results go their way.

They haven't exactly impressed at Carrow Road so far this season, though, with just one win in their last eight matches in front of their own fans.

Neil Adams's side have actually amassed more points on their travels than at home this season, so if they can sort out their home form then the Canaries could begin to rise back up the table.

They have also been boosted by the news that Lewis Grabban is available for selection having missed the Wigan game with a groin injury, while Wes Hoolahan and Ryan Bennett are both pushing for a place in the squad having overcome ankle problems.

Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe will miss out once again, however, with the Belgian due to see a specialist regarding his knee injury.

Just like Norwich, Huddersfield picked up their first win in five on Saturday, edging past in-form Brentford to rise above Yorkshire rivals Leeds United in the table.

Chris Powell has urged his side to show more consistency, and victory this weekend would hand the Terriers consecutive wins for just the second time this season.

Their recent form on the road does not bode well, however, with three consecutive defeats and five matches without an away victory coming into this game.

However, Town have also been boosted by the return of a key player recently, with James Vaughan making an appearance off the bench in the win over Brentford.

Powell has stressed the importance of easing the striker back into the match, however, which could mean that Grant Holt starts against his former club.

Murray Wallace is also expected to continue at the heart of the defence in the absence of the injured Joel Lynch, although Anthony Gerrard is pushing for a start at the back.
