Tim Krul confirms positive COVID-19 test

Norwich City goalkeeper Tim Krul has confirmed that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

The experienced shot-stopper revealed the news via his social media, which means he will now enter an isolation period, and will be unavailable for the Boxing Day fixture with Arsenal.

This is the second time that Krul has had COVID-19, as he had the virus at the start of the year as well, with Norwich also confirming two other positive cases from the squad and staff during the most recent round of tests.

"Merry Christmas.. I have tested positive for Covid again. Hopefully 2022 will bring better times for everyone. Stay safe and healthy. Love from the Krul family," he stated.

The Canaries will face the Gunners today in their latest Premier League fixture as they search for their third victory of the season.

Norwich are currently bottom of the league after their opening 17 matches, and they sit three points adrift of safety.
