First Championship Manager of the Month nominees revealed

The first Championship Manager of the Month in 2014-15 will go to Neil Adams, Ian Holloway, Kenny Jackett or Stuart Pearce.

Top-five managers Neil Adams, Ian Holloway, Kenny Jackett and Stuart Pearce have been announced as the nominees for August's Championship Manager of the Month.

After losing their opening fixture at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Adams's Norwich City have won three and drawn one, including an East Anglian derby victory over Ipswich Town that particularly delighted him.

Holloway ended last season strongly with Millwall and the Lions are off to a good start in 2014-15. They sit fifth after the first month with 10 points from five games.

Jackett's Wolverhampton Wanderers lie second in the early table with four wins from five games. Three of their victories have come against the three sides relegated from the Premier League last season.

Finally, Nottingham Forest, under the guidance of Pearce, top the table and are one of only two unbeaten sides in the division. His summer signings Michail Antonio and Britt Assombalonga have particularly impressed.

The other club in the top five, Watford, had manager Giuseppe Sannino resign despite their hot start to the season. Oscar Garcia has since been named as his replacement.

The winner will be announced on Friday morning.
