Paul Lambert compares Jonny Howson to Andres Iniesta

Norwich City manager Paul Lambert has likened the performance of Jonny Howson against Everton this afternoon to that of Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta.

The 23-year-old scored his first goal for the Canaries during the 2-2 draw against Everton at Carrow Road.

Discussing Howson's display after the final whistle, Lambert described the former England youth international's showing as one of the "best midfield performances" that he has ever witnessed.

"It was one of the best midfield performances I've ever seen," said former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Lambert said. "I couldn't pass it like him.

"At times he passed it like Iniesta. He's an all-rounder and I'm delighted with his contribution."

Lambert joined Norwich in January from Leeds.
