New Norwich City manager Neil Adams has welcomed the return from injury of Leroy Fer.
The Dutch midfielder has spent the previous six weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring complaint.
However, he returned to action against Fulham at the weekend and although he couldn't help the Canaries to record a positive result, Adams has described the 24-year-old's recovery as a "massive boost".
"That was a massive boost because he is a fantastic player. He was running on empty and he had given anything. I thought he looked good, he was strong, he was giving us a good presence in midfield and he had not played for six weeks or so. It was a huge boost and he did himself justice with his inclusion," the Eastern Daily Press quotes Adams as saying.
Fer has scored four goals during his 32 outings this season.
