John-Joe O'Toole sent off on tribute day

Northampton Town midfielder John-Joe O'Toole has brought an abrupt end to his tribute day after being sent off against Mansfield Town.

The Cobblers supporters had dubbed Saturday afternoon's fixture as "John-Joe O'Toole" day in appreciation of the 26-year-old's long hair and headband.

However, moments after being handed a first yellow card, O'Toole was dismissed on 35 minutes for lashing out at a defender inside the penalty area.

The League Two fixture at Field Mill finished as a 1-1 draw.
