Gary Speed inquest to begin today

An inquest into the death of late Wales national team manager will begin today (Tuesday).

Speed, 42, was found dead at his family home in Cheshire on Sunday. Reports suggest that he was found hanged.

Cheshire Police confirmed that the inquest will open at Warrington Coroner's Court at 3pm.

Cardiff City are understood to be staging a tribute to Speed before their Carling Cup tie with Blackburn Rovers tonight, and Leeds United are reportedly planning 11 minutes of singing from the 11th minute of their Championship game with Nottingham Forest tonight to remember their former number 11.
