Newcastle United's Florian Thauvin heading back to Marseille?

Newcastle United are reportedly in advanced negotiations to loan Florian Thauvin back to Marseille.

The 22-year-old winger only arrived at St James' Park from Les Phoceens for a supposed £12m fee six months ago.

However, having made just three Premier League starts since then, Thauvin is keen to return to the Stade Velodrome, according to L'Equipe.

The report adds that providing the Magpies sanction the former France Under-21 international's exit today, the deal could be concluded as early as tomorrow morning.
