Newcastle to move for French youngster?

Newcastle United are lining up a summer swoop for Guingamp midfielder Anthony Knockaert, reports in France suggest.

The France Under-20s international, who is also being monitored by Benfica and Marseille, revealed that he is flattered by the interest being shown in him.

"I have knowledge of this interest and I am proud because these are big clubs," the 20-year-old told French newspaper Ouest-France.

"This is a sign that I'm doing well at Guingamp, but for now I'm only concentrating on my work here."

Knockaert has been at the French Ligue 2 outfit since 2009.
