Newcastle United to launch Jannik Vestergaard bid?

Werder Bremen defender Jannik Vestergaard is being monitored by Newcastle United ahead of a possible bid from the Premier League side, according to reports.

The 23-year-old centre-back stands at 6'6" and has three caps for Denmark.

He only joined Bremen from Hoffenheim in January, but the Magpies have been impressed with his performances in the Bundesliga and are ready to launch a bid, reports Tutto Mercato.

Vestergaard also represented Denmark at the 2015 European Under-21 Championship in the Czech Republic.
