Lee Clark would consider Hatem Ben Arfa move

Birmingham City boss Lee Clark admits that he would be interested in signing out-of-favour Newcastle winger Hatem Ben Arfa, if he became available on loan.

Birmingham City boss Lee Clark has revealed that he would consider a move for Newcastle United midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa, if the Frenchman became available.

The 27-year-old has fallen out of favour with Alan Pardew at the Magpies and could be moved on before the end of the transfer window.

Clark has admitted that he would be interested, if the opportunity arose, to sign Ben Arfa on loan.

He told reporters: "We will see. We will see if anything comes up that is different to what we have got. You never know.

"It goes a bit crazy in the next 24, 48 hours and something might drop that could be of interest to us."

Birmingham lost for the second time in a week as they were defeated 4-0 by Wigan Athletic in their Championship clash on Saturday.
