Newcastle United predicted XI vs. Ipswich Town: Possible lineup for Premier League match

Star player unavailable: Newcastle predicted XI vs. Ipswich

Newcastle United are prepared to be without the services of Joelinton for the Premier League trip to relegation-threatened Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.

The Brazilian picked up his fifth yellow card of the league campaign during the four-goal smashing of lowly Leicester City at St James' Park last weekend.

As a result, Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe will need to find a new face to join Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes in the visitors' engine room.

Coming off the bench during the Magpies' 3-1 EFL Cup success over Brentford on Wednesday night, Joe Willock could get the nod in East Anglia this weekend.

Martin Dubravka will continue to hold down the fort in between the sticks amid the continued absence of Nick Pope, who picked up a knee injury during the loss at Brentford earlier in December.

Whilst Sven Botman draws nearer to a comeback from his cruciate ligament injury, Fabian Schar and the reliable Dan Burn will make up the centre-back pairing for Newcastle.

Bagging a brace during the victory over the Foxes last time out in the Premier League, Josh Murphy has done more than enough to retain his spot alongside leading marksman Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon in the front three.

Newcastle United possible starting lineup: Dubravka; Livramento, Schar, Burn, Hall; Tonali, Guimaraes, Willock; Murphy, Gordon, Isak
