Steven Taylor: 'I'm still living the dream as a Newcastle United player'

Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor has brushed away any rumours linking him with a transfer by claiming that he is "still living the dream" at St James' Park.

The 27-year-old was previously touted as a possible target for Arsenal, while fellow Premier League side Fulham were also thought to be keeping track of the defender.

"I am still living my dream here," Taylor told The Chronicle. "Being at Newcastle is the best thing which has ever happened to me. I am still living the dream of every young lad that is in this city."

Taylor broke into the Magpies first team from the youth ranks in 2003.
