Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko has revealed that many French players find the Premier League more exciting than their own domestic league.
Sissoko joined the Magpies from Toulouse at the start of 2013, and after less than a year at the club, the France international has admitted that he favours the Premier League over Ligue 1.
The 24-year-old told L'Equipe: "In England, teams start the game to win, score quickly and score as many goals as possible.
"In Ligue 1, we play the first half to not concede a goal. After half time, we try to score one goal. In France, one goal is often enough.
"It is exciting to play in the Premier League. That is the reason why a lot of French players are dreaming of signing for an English club. The game in the Premier League is quite something."
There are as many as 10 French players currently playing for Newcastle.
