Allan to reject Premier League interest for Napoli stay?

Napoli midfielder Allan hints that he would prefer to remain at the Italian giants rather than make the move to the Premier League this summer.

Napoli midfielder Allan has suggested that he intends to remain at the Serie A club for next season.

Allan has spent the last three years in Naples, with eight goals coming from 101 appearances in Italy's top flight, and there have been suggestions that a number of Premier League sides could make an approach for the Brazilian's signature.

However, Allan has publicly backed boss Maurizio Sarri to deliver trophies during the next campaign, which could be perceived as an indication that the player will continue at his current club.

The 27-year-old told Sky Sport Italia: "Continuing with this coach who makes us play well would be important, we too have fun on the pitch and we are sorry we did not win anything yet, but we can do it if we keep Sarri.

"We wanted it so much for the fans who deserved to win the Scudetto. It does not end here, I still have five years of my contract and I will give my all to make these people happy.

"Maybe in a month, when it's all over, we'll calmly reason and we'll understand it, but surely we had some moments."

Napoli's last major trophy came in 2014 when the club won the Coppa Italia.
