Preview: Napoli vs. Marseille

Sports Mole looks ahead to Wednesday night's Champions League clash between Napoli of Italy and French side Marseille.

They may have slumped to a disappointing defeat against Arsenal earlier in the group stage, but Napoli's chances of reaching the knockout stages of the Champions League remain in their hands.

On Wednesday night, Rafael Benitez's side are expected to take all three points from their home clash with French side Marseille.

Going into that encounter, they have six points from a possible nine - the exact number as both Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal, who will meet in Germany on the same night.

Any positive result that the Italian side achieve will have to be done without Miguel Angel Britos, Camilo Zuniga and Giandomenico Mesto, all of whom have picked up injuries.

Meanwhile, visiting Marseille could be without defender Rod Fanni because of an abductor problem.

The French side do not have a positive record from trips to Italy, having won just once in their eight visits.
