Filip Djordjevic gives Nantes win over Sochaux

A late Filip Djordjevic header has earned Nantes a 1-0 victory over Sochaux at Stade de la Beaujoire.

The win moves Les Canaris up to sixth in Ligue 1, while Sochaux remain rooted to the bottom of the table.

The hosts came closest to breaking the deadlock when Djordjevic's header forced a wonderful save from Simon Pouplin in the top right corner in the 32nd minute following a Serge Gakpe cross.

Nantes found the breakthrough 13 minutes from time when Djordjevic rose highest in the penalty area to head home a Jordan Veretout free kick from the right touchline.
