Taarabt torn over Africa Cup of Nations

Adel Taarabt still does not know if he will stay with Queens Park Rangers or compete at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Queens Park Rangers attacker Adel Taarabt has admitted that he is still undecided as to whether or not he will represent Morocco at the Africa Cup of Nations in January.

The 23-year-old is widely expected to be included in the Morocco squad for the tournament, which is due to conclude in early February.

However, QPR manager Harry Redknapp has informed Taarabt that he would like to keep him at the club during that period as they battle against relegation from the Premier League.

"It's a difficult decision because Harry Redknapp asked if I could stay. I would love to but it's my country so if I say 'No', everybody at home will think I don't want to play so I think I will go," he said.

"I go to Morocco every summer. If they don't do well, the fans will have a go at me and I don't want that to happen."

Taarabt has made 15 senior appearances for his country.
