Montreal Impact extended their winning streak to five games with an emphatic win over fellow playoff-chasers DC United at Saputo.

Man-of-the-match Patrice Bernier supplied a delicious through ball for Marco Di Vaio to open the scoring on 24 minutes.

Bernier then doubled his side's lead from the penalty spot early in the second half, after Emiliano Dudar had brought down Collen Warner.

Montreal put the result beyond any doubt in stoppage time, as Bernier fired home from a narrow angle.
