Newcastle target wants PL move

Newcastle United transfer target Mapou Yango-Mbiwa has revealed that he may leave Montpellier to compete in the "incredible" Premier League.

The Magpies are believed to be monitoring the defender over a possible move in the winter transfer window.

"People live for football in England, and that is what I want to experience." The Mirror quotes Yanga-Mbiwa as saying.

"I'll see what offers I get, but English football is incredible. There is more physical contact than in France, but I like that - it suits me."

The 22-year-old Montpellier skipper has been playing in the club's first team since 2007.
