Henri Bedimo to snub Newcastle United, West Ham United?

Montpellier HSC full-back Henri Bedimo says that he wants to play in the Champions League, even if that means staying in France rather than moving to the Premier League.

Montpellier HSC defender Henri Bedimo has hinted that he would resist a move to England in order to play in the Champions League.

The Cameroon international has reportedly been targeted by Newcastle United and West Ham United, but reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain, Lyon and Marseille have now declared their interest.

Bedimo said that he wants to play in the Champions League, but will wait until the end of the season before deciding his future.

"I have heard of the interest of clubs in the Premier League," Sky Sports News quotes the 28-year-old as saying. "But when you hear there is interest from a Champions League club in France then you have to think about it.

"Newcastle and West Ham are both good clubs in the best league in the world, but I will not decide my future until at the end of the season.

"I want to be playing in the Champions League as well."

The left-back arrived at the Stade de la Mosson from Lens in 2011.
