Report: Jermaine Pennant close to Millwall move

Former Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant is reportedly on the verge of joining Championship strugglers Millwall on a short-term contract.

The 32-year-old is a free agent following a brief stint in the Indian Premier League with Pune City at the end of last year.

According to News at Den this morning, Pennant has been keeping fit in Thailand since the turn of the year and will join Millwall for training tomorrow.

If the two parties can reach an agreement, Pennant will hope to be involved for Saturday's match against fellow capital club Fulham.
