Millwall striker John Marquis joins struggling Northampton Town on loan until the end of the season.

Millwall striker John Marquis has joined Northampton Town on loan until the end of the season.

The move will be Marquis's third loan spell away from the Championship club this season having also spent month-long stints at Portsmouth and Torquay United.

The 21-year-old, who scored four goals in 10 appearances during his time in League Two, will now look to help Northampton maintain their Football League status this season.

The Cobblers are currently rock bottom of the League Two table and sit seven points from safety, having won just one of their last nine league games.
